how use the internet today

i use the internet everyday. I use the internet for everything. I mostly use the internet to go on facebook, myspace, and tumblr. THe internet connects us with everyone around the world. Facebook and myspace allows you to find people that you havent seen or heard in a long time. Tumblr is another site that you can blog about whatever you want. I usually post cars and stuff thats on my mind. I also go on the internet to look for clothes and upcoming events or fitteds. I like to go on Fittedhawaii.com to see the new upcoming Fitteds they are releasing. I also look on in4mation and kicks hawaii’s website to see what are the new clothes they are stocking. The internet has become a big part of my life and actually my whole generation.

first communication device

my first communication device would have to be a computer. I got this computer from my uncle. He had owned a small computer company that sold computer parts. This is the reason why i got into computers. I was just fascinated with all the things you could do with a computer. You could go on the internet and find whatever you want. This is also the first time i learned about downloading music. I started downloading music with Napster. There was this one time when i had over 2,000 songs and i got scared that cops would come to my house arrest me for downloading song illegally, so i deleted all my music and i started over again. This was when i was about 10 years old. I’d say i had about 3 different computers in my whole life. All of them broke, Including the one i have now. Now i just use my dad’s macbook pro. I also had a walkie-talkie.

The Next communication device i remember having was also a walkie-talkie. I remember going around my house and playing with my cousin with them. We would go to one end of the house and talk to each other through the walkie-talkie.

This movie is about how hackers rebelled against windows and other softwares and created the GNU/Linux and open source. Proprietary software was created by Bill Gates. Proprietary software was shunned by the hackers. Proprietary softwares was made to not share with anyone else. That is why they have all these codes and passwords to keep it to themselves. Microsoft didn’t want them to share these useful softwares. The GNU was created like the Unix operating system. They were not allowed to use the same code as Unix, so it was created out of scratch. By 1991, the hackers created all the same sotfware and operating system like Unix, but it was free to the public. Free software should be thought of as “free”, as in “free speech” not as”free beer”. Free software is a matter of the users’ freedom to run, copy, distribute, change, and improve, the software. Copy left was created so that the public could redistribute their system changes to the world. The free software movement didn’t just stop here, they decided to go into the business area. They wanted to create a business that people could come to if they needed any support. They created the company Cygnus. With this company they created toolkits to help people create their own software and systems. Linux was based off of SUN OS.

when you first turn on your computer, a rush of electricity goes throughout the computer to turn on all the components of the computer. This surge of electricity follows the same path it takes every single time you turn it on. It first goes and turns the CPU on. From here, the leftover electrical signal places a specific hexadecimal number into one of the CPU’s digital notepads called the program counter. What ever comes next in line is the instructions of what the CPU wants it do to. It first turns the BIOS on. Now it’s the BIOS turn to turn all the other components on. To turn it on, the BIOS preforms a POST, or a Power-On Self-Test. Next, BIOS looks toward CMOS and finds what components are installed on the computer. In the next phase CMOS and BIOS check to see if they both work together. To see if they all the computer components work in a synchronized manner, they use the real-time clock to keep it in order. Then BIOS tells the CPU to signal the system bus to check if all the components are working properly. Then POST checks the memory on the display to start up the monitor. Then it figures out if it is a cold boot, warm boot or reboot. Then the POST goes through the drives to see what’s installed. Last, POST ends and BIOS gives the control over to the PC’s operating system. A motherboard is the main printed circuit board on a computer that may contain sockets that accept additional boards. on personal computers, it contains the bus, the microprocessor, and integrated circuits used for controlling any built-in peripherals such as the keyboard, text and graphics display, serial ports and parallel ports, joysticks, and mouse interfaces. In other words the motherboard is the main component of a computer. With out the motherboard, you will not be able to operate a computer. The motherboard is like the framework of the brain. Then all the other components, like the hard drive, memory, cd drive, dvd drive, video card, audio card, power supply, etc., are the different sections of the brain that are connected to make things work. The picture above is what a typical motherboard would look like. It explains where every component will be able to connect too. motherboards are not only used in computers, it is also used in other electronics like ipods, electronic toys, cars, dvd players, tvs, and etc. Some companies that create these motherboards are: Abit, Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, Microstar, MSI, Gem light, Tundra, and FXF. Motherboards are the framework of the computer. Without this nothing would be able to work .

for your blog i would first go with the the Ambiru theme. since you said you like outdoors, surfing, fishing, that kinds of stuff, i could find you some pictures of good hawaii spots for your header. since the width of the picture has to be a certain size, it probably would look better with a panoramic photo. Here are some example:
maybe you had a picture in mind you wanted to use then that would be fine too. I could also put some music on your page of your liking.
